Wednesday 1st July

Hello Class 4, I hope you have had an enjoyable Tuesday and have all been working hard at home. Here are your activities for Wednesday 1st July . Here are some  spellings for you to practise at home. Monday 29th June and hello Class 4!

Hi Class 4, Miss Greenwood here! It's so lovely to be back, I only wish it could be with you all. Thank you to Miss Dimond for taking such good care of you while I've been gone. I'm sure you're all glad to hear that it's not goodbye just yet. We'll be sharing the class until the end of the term! I'll be taking over the blog for some of the days but all of the tasks and activities will be similar. Friday 26th June

Hello Class 4, I hope you have had a good day in this super hot weather! I am so sorry for the delay in posting the blog. There are some nice activities for you to finish off the week. If you feel that you would like more English tasks, you could have a go at writing your own Viking story. Thursday 25th June and some exciting news!!

Hello Class 4, I am starting off my blog post with some exciting news for you all . You will be so excited to hear that Miss Greenwood will be back with you on Monday so she will get to see all the fantastic work you are doing at home. Until then end of term, I will still be in and around school so I might see some of you. I have had the best 7 months being your class teacher and I really hope you enjoy your last few weeks of term, I have no doubts that you will with Miss Greenwood. I want to say a big thank you to you all for being such a fab first class! I'm going to really miss seeing all of your work everyday, you have all worked incredibly hard and should be so proud of yourselves! Class 4's amazing work

Charlie made a fantastic zoo out of items in his home. This zoo looks great Charlie! Well done! I can see that you have really thought about the different habitats. Charlotte has created an excellent impressionist painting of a sunset reflecting in the water! I can really see how you've used your brush strokes in an impressionist way! Great job. Charlotte also created a fantastic model of the Solar System! I am so impressed with the planets you have made here Charlotte! Well done!   It's also great to see you enjoying the science experiments! This looks like a snowstorm and a rain cloud in a jar, I'm glad to see that they were successful!    James has also had a go at the different science experiments from last week! Its great to see your rain cloud in a jar worked well! It's great that you also tried the rainbow experiment! It looked like it was successful! Well done James! James also sent me a PowerPo

Wednesday 17th June

Hello Class 4, I hope you're all having a lovely day. We loved making the rain cloud in a jar at school! Did you find out any interesting facts about the weather? Tomorrow we are looking at David Attenborough and the Animal Kingdom. Tomorrow's experiment asks for lard but you could always see if butter works if you don't have any! Hello class 4, I hope you have had a great weekend and have enjoyed your first day of science week! We had lots of fun making paper plate solar systems in school. Tomorrow, we are looking at the weather.  Some of the suggested activities  are investigations that require materials such as shaving foam and food colouring. Class 4's amazing art work

Hello Class 4, *Monday's task is below this post on the blog* I hope you've all had a lovely week. I just wanted to share some of the amazing art that I have seen this week. Once again, I am very impressed with what you have all created. Toby created a fantastic reflection of the sun in his impressionist painting. I am really pleased you enjoyed this activity and  I really love the colours you have used to create a sunset too! Well done Toby Flora has created an excellent landscape in the impressionist style. I am really impressed with the different shades of colour used in the sky, the sun, the water and on the hill! Great job Flora!   James T had a lovely morning last week creating an impressive Monet inspired landscape. I really like the idea to use glue spreaders to help with the impressionist style! The colours really stand out next to each other in both pieces and the boats in the water look great too. Well done James!   Ed has been very busy wit

Good afternoon Class 4, I hope you all had an excellent weekend! Our topic for this week is Science which is always fun!  To start off our Science Week, we are looking at Outer Space, I always find Outer Space a fascinating topic so I hope you enjoy it. Here are your tasks:  Monday 15th June There are lots of suggested activities for you to do but please don't feel you have to complete them all, you could pick and choose your favourites! Thursday 11th June

Hello Class 4, I hope you all enjoyed looking at Surrealism today! We are going back to impressionism for the rest of the week. I have seen a few fantastic impressionist paintings from you and it is so great to see you are enjoying this topic as much as I am. I will share the excellent work with you by the end of the week! If you would like to send in any more excellent work I would love to see it! For Thursday's task we are finding more out about the founder of impressionist art, Claude Monet. Good afternoon Class 4, I hope you have all enjoyed your first day of Arts Week, I have been with Class 5 today and we have had fun creating expressionist paintings. Tomorrow, we are going to be looking at the key features of impressionism in closer detail and experimenting with brushstrokes and colours. Here are your activities: Tuesday 9th June I just thought i'd share a copy of an impressionist painting of Venice I did a few years ago.  As you know,  I am a huge fan of impressionism and pointillism! Have a  look at the colours used as reflections in the water along with the brush strokes. I'd love to see what impressionist paintings you come up with throughout the week! Have a great day! Arts Week - Monday 8th June

Hello Class 4, I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend! This week is a very exciting week for me, it's Arts week! 🎨 A few weeks ago we looked at the style of art called Pointillism, this is one of my favourite styles. This week we are going to look at a very similar style called Impressionism. We are starting off the week finding out what impressionism is.  I would love to see lots of your amazing art work throughout the week and may even have a go at some impressionist art myself! Hello Class 4, I hope you've had a good first week back of Home Learning!
