Hello Class 4, 

Here are your activities for the day:


English - If you have finished writing your story, you can edit it. Try to think about all of these things as you read back through:

Grammar - Tense, paragraphs, sentence structure

Spelling - spelling of key words

Punctuation - apostrophes, speech, capital letters, full stops, commas, exclamation marks, question marks

Then maybe have a go at adding some more or rewriting part of your story to improve it. 


Maths - Have a go at these arithmetic questions. We are on Day 5. Today we are learning about roman numerals. Watch this video. Have a look at these slides if you need to. Then answer these questions. Here are the answers to mark your work. 


Guided Reading - Try a reading or vocabulary activity on Reading Plus. 


PE - We are going to be continuing to have a go at the floor routine we've been practising. Remember it is Step 2 - Floor Exercise (Years 3 and 4). Have a look at it and, if you have a safe space, see if you can practise it at home. If you would rather, you could try a Joe Wicks workout or Cosmic Yoga. 


Computing - Today we are going to be having a go at making a variable in Scratch. Have a look at this Scratch Multiplication Game and have a look at the coding. Log into your Scratch account and see if you can recreate it.

Good afternoon Class 4, We're coming to the end of another week of home learning, with only one week left for the year! I'm so impressed with how you have all coped during this difficult time. Next week's home learning will look a little different as it is the last week of term, so this will be the last day with the Maths and English activities that you have been doing. Hello Class 4, I hope you have had a fantastic half-term with the lovely weather! I can't believe we are in our final term already! As many of you know Red Class, Class 1 and Class 6 are returning to school this week which means our activities are going to be a little different. Message to parents:  Please be aware that this term you will notice that the activities posted on the class blogs will be a little different from what you have been used to previously, for example, they may not always include an English and Maths lesson. This is for several reasons, i) there will be a focus on Well Being for the children (in and out of school) as we move through the Covid-19 journey; ii) normally during the summer term we have a range of curriculum focus weeks; iii) to ensure consistency for groups both attending school, or remaining at home.
