Hello Class 4, 

I hope you're all feeling okay? Here are your activities for the day:


English - Write the middle of your Horrid Henry story. Remember this should be the build up and the climax. What is your character's idea or plan? How has your character implemented their plan? What do they do? What happens? 


Maths - First have a go at the arithmetic questions. You need to look at Day 3. Today we are learning to count in 25s. Watch this video and have a look through these slides if you need to. Then have a go at answering these questions. Here are the answers to mark your work. 


Guided Reading - Log into Reading Plus and complete a reading or vocabulary activity. 


CPSHE - Different feelings. Make a list of feelings. Think about these questions - 

  • How would you know if someone else was feeling like that?  
  • How could you tell?  
  • How might they show that feeling on their bodies and faces
Then have a go at completing this worksheet, annotating or labelling to show how someone might show or experience the feeling. 


History - Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. Start by having a look at this document and read about the different Pharaohs. Choose a Pharaoh of your own to do a biography/ fact file about. Research and record the facts.

Good afternoon Class 4, We're coming to the end of another week of home learning, with only one week left for the year! I'm so impressed with how you have all coped during this difficult time. Next week's home learning will look a little different as it is the last week of term, so this will be the last day with the Maths and English activities that you have been doing. James did a great Pointillist painting of a 'Dino Piggy'! I love the imagination behind this picture James and good choice of colours!  Great job! Ted has been working  hard during Home Learning. I am so impressed with this Anglo-Saxon settlement! What a fantastic job!  I also really like  how creative your model of the Water Cycle is with the hanging sun and clouds! Well done Ted.  James has been working hard researching Anglo-Saxons and his cat Marli was keen to find out more too! I'm so glad you're enjoying this topic James and Marli, well done for remembering all 7 kingdoms too. Great job! Ed has been doing a brilliant job helping out at home! Well done for making your bed and doing the washing Ed! Super helper! Charlie did an amazing retelling of The Willow Pattern with his own plate story! I love that you recreated it using Lego construction workers. Great story! Well done.

Hello Class 4, I hope you have had a fantastic half-term with the lovely weather! I can't believe we are in our final term already! As many of you know Red Class, Class 1 and Class 6 are returning to school this week which means our activities are going to be a little different. Message to parents:  Please be aware that this term you will notice that the activities posted on the class blogs will be a little different from what you have been used to previously, for example, they may not always include an English and Maths lesson. This is for several reasons, i) there will be a focus on Well Being for the children (in and out of school) as we move through the Covid-19 journey; ii) normally during the summer term we have a range of curriculum focus weeks; iii) to ensure consistency for groups both attending school, or remaining at home.
